CanAm Front Roll Down Window Instructions

On the NEW STYLE CanAm front doors, it is possible if you're not looking closely, to mix up the front roll down window patterns.

If you're installing your front roll down windows, and they are too narrow, and much too long. You have the tint on the wrong side and rotated 90 degrees.

This can happen on 2 door and 4 door machines, as the front doors are all the same.

Photo 1
See Photo 1... This illustration is specifically talking about one side.

On the upper leading edge of the front roll down window, you'll have a slight radius curve, circled in blue.

On the lower trailing edge of the front roll down window, you'll have an "S" curve. This is where the exterior door "bumps up" a few inches.

This is the correct orientation of the film.

To double check and make sure you have the correct pattern on the correct side do this...

Go to the driver's side exterior of the machine, close and fully latched the door. From the exterior of the machine, hold the pattern up. Make sure the clear liner is facing you, so the NON ADHESIVE side of the tint would touch the EXTERIOR of the glass.

Of course the tint would be applied to the interior of the glass, however when you line up the pattern from the exterior of the machine, with the liner still attached and facing you, you can see the correct orientation of the film when you apply it to the inside.

This photo clearly shows the red circled radius curve, it clearly looks like a bad cut, but when rotated 90 degrees clockwise and placed on the inside of the driver's window, it will fit. This photo also clearly shows the tint is too narrow, and much too long. Even if the "top" edge of this piece was lined up with the top edge of the window, it would still be too long.

This is a close up of a driver's door, again you can clearly see the radius curve in the upper right and it does not look like a good cut at all. Again, this is a passenger side piece, installed on the driver's side. This piece needs to be rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise, and then installed on the passenger door.
This is a close up of the "S" curve on the trailing edge of the front doors. Again the cut looks very bad. This is the inside of a driver's door, and again, if it was rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise and used on the passenger door, the cut would be great.
