Step 01

Clean the Window Thoroughly

Use a clean microfiber cloth and glass cleaner to remove all dust, dirt, and oils. Any contamination under the film will show as bubbles or imperfections. Take your time here — it's the most important step.

Pro Tip Clean in the shade or indoors. Direct sunlight dries the cleaner too fast and leaves streaks that will show under the film.

Step 02

Mix Your Slip Solution

Fill a spray bottle with water and add 2–3 drops of dish soap. This is your "slip solution" — it lets you reposition the film before it adheres. Spray the window generously before applying the film.

Pro Tip Less soap is more. Too much creates excessive suds and leaves residue. A few drops is all you need.

Step 03

Peel the Liner & Spray the Adhesive Side

Carefully peel back the clear liner from the tint film. As you peel, spray the adhesive side (the sticky side) with your slip solution — this prevents it from sticking to itself or drying out before you position it.

Pro Tip Have a helper hold one end of the film while you peel. This keeps the adhesive side from touching itself and bonding prematurely.

Step 04

Position the Film on the Window

Place the film adhesive-side down on the wet window. Since it's pre-cut, it should align with the window edges perfectly. Slide it into position while the solution is wet — you have time to adjust.

Pro Tip Keep re-spraying the window if it starts to dry before you've positioned the film. You can't reposition once the film starts to tack down.

Step 05

Squeegee Out the Water

Starting from the center and working outward, use a squeegee to push water and air bubbles to the edges. Work in firm, overlapping strokes. Small bubbles will disappear as the film cures over the next few days.

Pro Tip Don't panic over small water bubbles after installation — they cure out within 1–5 days. Only air bubbles (dry-looking) need to be worked out now.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Don't install in direct sunlight — the slip solution dries too fast, and the film can tack down before you've positioned it correctly.
Don't skip spraying the adhesive side — the film will stick to itself or the window before you're ready to position it.
Don't panic over small water bubbles — they cure out within 1–5 days. Only dry-looking air bubbles need to be worked out immediately.
Don't use paper towels — they leave lint on the glass that will show under the film. Always use clean microfiber cloths.
Don't roll down the windows for 3–5 days — the film needs time to fully cure and bond to the glass before being flexed.
