Why Tint Your CFMoto UForce U10XL?
The CFMoto UForce U10XL is a serious work and recreation machine. Whether you're hauling gear on the job site or exploring trails with the family, the crew cab configuration means you've got passengers — and passengers notice the heat. Sun beating through unprotected glass turns the cabin into an oven fast, especially in the summer months.
Window tint solves that. A good ceramic film blocks up to 99% of UV rays and rejects a significant portion of infrared heat, keeping cabin temps noticeably cooler and making long rides far more comfortable. It also cuts glare, protects your skin and eyes, and gives the machine a sharp, finished look.
What Windows Does the U10XL Have?
The CFMoto UForce U10XL 4 Door Crew Cab has side door windows on all four doors plus a rear back window. That's five total panes of glass — all of which can be tinted individually or as a complete kit.
The front windshield is a separate piece and covered by a different kit (the CFMOTO U10 Full Windshield tint or the CFMOTO Windshield Banner if you just want a top strip).
Pre-Cut vs. Bulk Film
You have two options when it comes to installing window tint on your U10XL: buy bulk film and cut it yourself, or buy a pre-cut kit.
Bulk film is cheaper upfront but requires a plotter or very steady hands and a lot of patience. One wrong cut and you've wasted film. Pre-cut kits are precision-cut for your exact machine using computer-controlled plotters. Every piece is shaped to fit right out of the bag — no guesswork, no waste.
For a first-time DIY install, pre-cut is the way to go. It dramatically reduces the chance of mistakes and gets you a cleaner result.
Film Types: Carbon vs. Ceramic vs. APEX
Not all window tint is created equal. Here's a quick breakdown of the three film types we offer:
Carbon Film
Carbon film is our entry-level option. It's matte black in appearance (no shiny mirror look), blocks UV rays, and provides solid heat rejection. It won't interfere with GPS or cell signal. Great option if you're on a budget and want a clean look.
Ceramic Film
Ceramic is the step up. It uses nano-ceramic particles to reject more infrared heat than carbon without any metallic content. Clearer visibility, better heat performance, and longer lifespan. If you spend a lot of time in the cab or live somewhere hot, ceramic is worth the upgrade.
APEX Film
Our top-tier option. APEX film combines the best of ceramic technology with maximum clarity and heat rejection. This is professional-grade film that rivals what detailing shops install on luxury vehicles.
Shade Options
All film types come in multiple shades:
- 5% (Limo) — Very dark, maximum privacy
- 20% — Dark, popular for rear windows
- 35% — Medium, good balance of visibility and privacy
- 50% — Light tint, subtle look
- 70% — Nearly clear, mostly for UV and heat rejection
Most U10XL owners go with 20% on the rear doors and back window for a sleek, uniform look. If you're using the machine for work and need clear sightlines, 35% or 50% is a solid choice.
How to Install Window Tint on Your U10XL
Installation is a manageable DIY project if you take your time. Here's the basic process:
- Clean the glass thoroughly. Use a lint-free cloth and glass cleaner. Any dust or dirt under the film will show up as bumps.
- Mix a slip solution. A few drops of baby shampoo in a spray bottle of water works perfectly. This lets you reposition the film before it sets.
- Peel and wet the adhesive side. Spray both the glass and the adhesive side of the film with slip solution before applying.
- Apply and squeegee. Lay the film on the glass, use a hard card squeegee to push out air and water from the center outward.
- Tuck the edges. Use a gasket tool to push the film into any rubber gaskets around the window frame.
- Let it cure. Film can look hazy for a few days post-install — that's normal. It clears up as the adhesive fully cures.
